About me
I was born on September 3, 1975 in Graz, Austria, where I currently live as well.
After high school and military service I studied Environmental Systems Sciences with an emphasis on Businnes Administration at Karl-Franzens-University Graz. Later I specialized on Systems Theory in which I received a Ph.D. from Alpen-Adria-University Klagenfurt, studying with Prof. Dr. Guenther Ossimitz. I tought this subject for five years at Graz University and applied it as business consultant.
Currently I work at Wasserland Steiermark in Environmental Education.
Whilst studying I also started my career as professional photographer. Initially as photo journalist, doing sports photography for Autria's most read newspaper, I later switched to magazine reportage, art photography and dance photography recently. Exhibitions took place at Colorado State University, Karl-Franzens-University Graz and ÖGB-Haus Graz.
In 2007 I discovered painting as additional way of expressing and exhibited after an intensive working period in the restaurant Eschenlaube in Graz and at the International Dance Theater Festival.
Studying abroad led me to Fort Collins, CO, USA in 2000/2001, a post doc position to Honolulu, HI, USA in 2007. On extended journeys I learned to know the US, Asia, Australia and Europe of course.
My sports activities are mountaineering, taiji and dance, to mention just a few.
